Developing Community-University Research Partnerships
Speed Dating Event
TUESDAY 11th June 2013, 5 – 7pm
Holgate Room, Durham University, South Road, DH1 3LG Durham
The aim of the speed dating event is for representatives from community groups and organizations to meet postgraduate researchers and academic staff from across the University to find out more about each other and explore possibilities for collaborative research on any topic.
It is an informal (free) event, fuelled by scones, tea and coffee, simply for people to find out each other’s work and explore if there are any potential research synergies.
Format: The room is laid out with tables around which people circulate at regular intervals in order to get to know new people. Everyone is allowed ten minutes at each ‘stop’, after which you are expected to move on or continue further discussions about potential research links around a side table loaded with scones, tea and coffee (to fuel the interactions).
To Sign Up, or if you would like more information or have any access requirements, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
This event is a follow up to a two-day workshop held in Durham early this year. For more information please look at https://www.dur.ac.uk/engaging.communities/
